Kelly was born and raised in Thunder Bay. She completed university at Lakehead where she obtained a Bachelors Honors in Fine Arts and at Capilano University in North Vancouver for Textile Design. She was working in the film industry in Vancouver when she decided she needed a change. She wanted to continue to work with her hands but, make a difference in people's lives. Massage Therapy made sense. She graduated and registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario in 2013 and has been practicing since.
Kelly believes there is a direct link between our physical well being and our mental or emotional states. She feels that we need better ways to manage stress and its impact on the body.
Kelly incorporates Swedish Massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and relaxation to reduce stress and tension. She has experience treating chronic pain, fibromyalgia, whiplash and whiplash associated disorders, repetitive strains and work related muscle tension. Kelly's approach to her clients needs is not a one size fits all approach. Each client comes with their own unique history and Kelly customizes each treatment around each individual's needs.
Kelly enjoys the outdoors and spends time hiking and camping. She loves her cats Ziggy and Lulu and her dog Finn. She has fun training Finn in tricks, nosework and dog parkour. She is also certified in Canine Massage Therapy and currently works out of clients homes helping their active and elderly dogs with injuries, maintenance and range of motion.
